Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC): The GPSC is in charge of administering civil service examinations and recruiting candidates for various administrative jobs within the state. Established in 1988, the commission is headquartered in Panaji.
General Information: The GPSC examination process includes:
1.Preliminary Exam: Objective-type questions covering general studies and aptitude.
2.Mains Exam: Comprising several papers, including General Studies, Essay, and optional subjects.
3.Interview: The final stage where candidates' knowledge, personality, and suitability for public service are assessed.
Positions offered through GPSC include Deputy Collector, DSP, and other administrative roles, with salaries ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500. There is no limit on the number of attempts, but the age limit is there which is in between (20-36 years).The syllabus covers a broad range of topics, including history, culture, geography, polity, economy, and current events, with a focus on Goa's unique sociocultural aspects and its status as a top tourist destination.
