About Bihar: Bihar is a state in eastern India that has a rich cultural and historical legacy. It is known as the birthplace of Buddhism and ...Jainism, with significant historical sites like Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, and Vaishali. The primary crops grown in the state are rice, wheat, and maize, and the economy is mostly based on agriculture. The Ganges River flows through the state, providing fertile soil but also making the region prone to floods. The Gaur (Indian Bison) is the state animal, while the Indian Roller is the official bird. Bihar is renowned for its diverse culture and rich historical importance. The state is undergoing rapid transformation, with a focus on improving education, infrastructure, and governance. Despite challenges, Bihar's rich cultural heritage and potential for growth make it a key state in India’s development.
Bihar Service Commission (BPSC): Established in 1949, the BPSC is in charge of hiring candidates for different administrative posts in Bihar and holding civil service examinations. The commission is headquartered in Patna.
Positions offered through BPSC include Deputy Collector, DSP, and other administrative roles, with salaries ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1, 77,500. There are no restrictions on number of attempts but there is age restriction of minimum age being 20 years and Maximum age depends upon various categories.
The syllabus covers a wide range of topics, including Bihar’s history, geography, economy, and current affairs, with a focus on the state’s challenges in agriculture, education, and infrastructure.
Programme Overview: Bihar Public Service Commission will conduct its 70th round of recruitment in 2024 for its State Executive Services soon. Chahal IAS offers an exclusive intensive test series programme which will help you ace the examination by providing you the right strategy. We have designed our BPSC Prelims Test Series to help you understand the demand of the real exam and also update yourself on Bihar state current affairs. The best thing is that you can start taking tests immediately after enrolling, and you can retake them as many times as you want to improve your score. The questions are designed by experts based on the latest BPSC question patterns and keeping in mind the demands of the question paper. Our test series include Previous Year Questions which are a must for any aspirant.
Programme Aim: The BPSC Preliminary Examination has its unique demands as BPSC wants to recruit candidates who are serious for Bihar State Services. It has 150 questions which have to be answered in mere 2 hours. This makes it very difficult to do multiple iterations of the paper. Our programme makes sure that with multiple tests you will be able to crack this examination with speed and accuracy. The Preliminary Examination has two papers, firstly the General Studies Paper I which tests knowledge of subjects like economy, polity, history, geography especially of Bihar. Second, the General Studies Paper II which assesses reasoning, numerical and language abilities upto class X level. This Aptitude Test paper is of qualifying nature where you need to get 33% marks only. We will help you prepare not just for general studies but also the aptitude test to come to the level of BPSC’s requirements and get a good rank.
Programme Objectives: The Prelims Stage is the toughest as many students apply, however only a few get to the next stage. Moreover, the screening is done in two steps. First, your Aptitude Test paper will be checked, if you secure the qualifying marks only then they will see your General Studies paper. Further, there are qualifying marks in the General Studies paper also from 32% for Women/ SC/ST/ Disabled to 40% for all general category students. You must prepare very hard to make sure that not only you pass the minimum requirement in both the papers, but also score a good rank to clear the cut offs. Our BPSC Prelims Test series will help you bridge the gap between your preparation and the demands of the examination. You will be able to accurately eliminate and isolate the right option. Because the BPSC examination is not just about knowledge, but also the skill of answering MCQs.
We have a scientific approach of setting our papers where syllabus is optimally divided, questions are asked on basic and application based level, and current affairs are inbuilt in the questions. A proportionate weightage is given to including difficult to easy questions based on the past year questions. This will help aspirants to understand their weaknesses and strengths. This also allows students to improve their scoring ability in the Prelims Test.
