Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC): The JPSC is responsible for administering civil service exams and choosing applicants for various administrative posts in Jharkhand. Established in 2000, the commission is headquartered in Ranchi.
General Information: The JPSC examination process is three-tiered:
1.Preliminary Exam: Objective-type questions on general studies and aptitude.
2.Mains Exam: Comprising several descriptive papers including General Studies, language papers, and optional subjects.
3.Interview: The final stage assesses candidates' knowledge, personality, and suitability for administrative roles.
Positions offered through JPSC include Deputy Collector, DSP, and other administrative roles, with salaries ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500. There is no limit on the number of attempts, but the age limit varies according to the category with minimum age is 21 years.
The syllabus encompasses a wide range of subjects including history, geography, polity, economy, and current affairs, with a focus on Jharkhand's unique challenges related to tribal issues, mineral resources, and regional development.
