Meera K IAS hails from Kerala, where she completed both her school and undergraduate education.
She earned her B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Thrissur in 2016.
Ms. Meera accomplished her higher secondary education at Kulapathi Munshi Bhavans Vidyamandir in Pottere.
After securing a job in Bangalore through campus placement, K Meera enjoyed a substantial salary and employment benefits.
However, her aspiration to become an IAS Officer led her back to Kerala.
She made the decision to resign from her job and dedicated herself to serious preparation for the UPSC exam in her home state.

FAMILY BACKGROUND :

Meera K, an IAS officer, is the daughter of K Ramadass , who is the proprietor of a construction company, and K Radhika, who serves as a teacher at Mundathikkode’s NSS high school.
Additionally, she has a sister named Vrinda, who is employed at Goldman Sachs.
Meera's parents take immense pride in her accomplishment of becoming an IAS officer.
She acknowledges that this achievement was not only her own dream, but also a cherished aspiration of her mother, which she carried forward.
The entire state of Kerala holds Meera K in high regard and takes pride in her remarkable achievements.

MEERA’S UPSC CSE JOURNEY :

In 2017, she made her initial attempt at the UPSC Civil Services Examination with limited preparation. As anticipated, she did not qualify even the preliminary stage.
Meera enrolled in a few private institutes in Kerala, but she maintained her own preferences for General Studies, Optional Subject, and Test Series.
Despite attending coaching, she did not rely solely on it.
She held a steadfast belief in her own abilities and endeavoured to develop a strategy based on her strengths and weaknesses.
In her second attempt, Meera successfully cleared both Prelims and Mains.
However, fortune did not entirely favour her, as she narrowly missed the final selection by a margin of just 12 marks.
The streak of misfortune persisted into her third attempt, where she missed the Prelims by a mere one mark.
These setbacks only fueled Meera's determination and resolve.
On her fourth try, she not only passed the Prelims and Mains but also excelled in the Interview, ultimately achieving the prestigious title of UPSC Topper with an impressive All-India Rank 6

MEERA'S PREPARATION STRATEGY :

Meera K emphasises that candidates should initially prioritise their preparation for the UPSC Prelims exam.
This involves maintaining a consistent focus on current affairs through regular newspaper reading.
Additionally, it is crucial to strengthen your foundation using NCERT books.
Success can be achieved through diligent note-taking and daily revisions.
