ABOUT YAKSH CHOUDHARY:

Yaksh Chaudhary, a farmer's son hailing from Uttar Pradesh, overcame various challenges in his educational journey.
He was awarded a government scholarship designed to support deserving students from low-income backgrounds.
His ultimate goal is to serve society by becoming an IAS officer.
Yaksh's determination and perseverance in his studies have been a source of inspiration to many.
Despite facing setbacks, he continued to push forward.
After three attempts, Yaksh successfully passed the UPSC Civil Service Exam, securing the 6th position nationwide.
In his initial attempt in 2019, he cleared the preliminary exams on his first try.
Despite facing difficulties, he remained undeterred and worked hard to achieve his goal.
Yaksh, originally from the Amroha district in Uttar Pradesh, has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic in his studies.
Despite hailing from a middle-class background, he pursued a BTech in civil engineering at IIT Guwahati, supported by a government scholarship based on merit and financial need.
Unlike many of his peers who began civil services training after obtaining an IIT degree and securing placements through the university, Yaksh embarked on this path right away.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND :

Yaksh Chaudhary hails from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.
He received his education at SS Academy Amroha, initially in Hindi Medium until the eighth grade.
For grades nine through twelve, he continued his studies in Amroha.
After completing his twelfth-grade year, he relocated to Kota to embark on his IIT JEE preparation.
Upon successfully passing the IIT exam, he secured admission to IIT Guwahati and completed his B.Tech. in civil engineering.

WHY CIVIL SERVICES? :

Throughout his college years, Yaksh actively engaged in various social activities, playing a prominent role in both the Youth Empowerment club and one of the college societies.
It was his involvement in these activities that sparked his interest in Civil Services.
Following his graduation, he dedicated himself to preparing for the Civil Services examination, drawing upon his strong academic performance throughout his entire school career.

YAKSH'S PREPARATION STRATEGY :

He initiated his UPSC preparation in Delhi but had to return home due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Despite the setback, he continued his full-time preparation from home.
He opted for online classes, which provided him access to high-quality learning resources along with the flexibility to study from anywhere.
He dedicated a substantial amount of time to practice for the prelims and consistently worked on enhancing the structure of his answers for the mains.
His journey in UPSC preparation began four years ago with a focus on studying NCERTs.
Recognizing the critical importance of current affairs in the IAS exam, he diligently kept up with daily newspaper readings to stay well-informed about national and international events.
He also enrolled in online mock test series for both prelims and mains, demonstrating a meticulous approach to his study materials.
He compiled and revised his study materials multiple times to ensure a comprehensive understanding.
He emphasized the need for patience and unwavering focus throughout the preparation process, constantly striving for improvement in his performance.
Additionally, he took guidance from experienced teachers and mentors right from the outset.
While his overall strategy was not radically different, he implemented it with a unique touch, adapting it to his own needs and circumstances.
